It was a few weeks back when I purchased my first ever water cooler dispenser for home use. Initially, I thought paying over one hundred and fifty bucks was too much. But then, the Igloo water cooler dispenser that I bought proved to be very useful in the end.
What I Thought
By all means, the product is far from perfection. As with any product, you get your money’s worth depending on how much you spend. Anyway, the prices of many dispensers in the shop ranged from low-end to upscale products. The Igloo dispenser is affordable for me, so I bought this particular brand.
Let me give you a run-through of things to expect should you decide to buy the same water dispenser cooler for yourself.
Short Built
When I looked at the dispenser’s photo in Amazon, I didn’t expect the product to be so small. However, I learned this in a surprising way when the package delivery arrived at my doorstep. I had no issues about the height of the water dispenser. There are times when its height became such a hassle for me every time I got drinking water. The problem is easily fixed though. I simply put the water dispenser at a small table top.
Plastic Taste
I guess I should have expected the strange taste when I used the water cooler cup dispenser for the first time. Again, this was quickly resolved when I let the water pass through for a moment. By the time a quarter of my 5 gallon bottle was empty, the water tasted normal again.
Hot And Cold
I let the little things slide as I am very considerate with any product. As I said, though the Igloo dispenser is far from perfect, there are still a few points when the product gets things right.
One example of which is the hotness and coldness of the water. During breakfast, I am happy to make coffee using the hot water from the dispenser. Likewise, the cold setting really does dispense cold water. So far so good; I think.
Overall Review
Generally, I am happy about my purchase. The Igloo drinking water dispenser was a great addition to my home. It provides me clean water minus the hassles of constantly waiting for the water to get cold inside the fridge or to boil on the stove. It was a good decision on my part to just buy a dispenser so I have access to clean water anytime of the day.
Plus, it is easy to use. Even my nephew who comes into my apartment to visit knows how to operate the water dispenser. Now, that saves me time and effort since my nephew can easily reach the small dispenser’s height.
Second Thoughts
However, I would probably buy a bottleless dispenser if my current one needs replacement in the future. I think this is just a matter of preference. By using a bottleless water cooler dispenser, I don’t have to change the gallons once they empty. After all, those dispensers have a filter inside to take care of the water’s purity.
